The board of directors of El Hogar Ministries,
Inc. is a founding board that meets twice annually. This is a hands-on
working board, whose role is to provide any support necessary to
El Hogar Projects in Honduras. Principally, the board oversees
the budget, ensuring that all funds donated are applied to the
running of El Hogar Projects and the activities necessary to keep
El Hogar thriving. The board, along with the EHMI office in Winchester
Massachusetts, helps with fundraising, communications with donors,
networking, planning, and performs many organizational activities
in service of El Hogar Projects.
The Rt. Rev. Robert J. O’Neill, Bishop
of Colorado - President
Rob is a graduate of Texas Christian University and Berkeley Divinity
School at Yale. He was ordained to the priesthood of the Episcopal
Church in 1982 at Saint John’s Cathedral in Denver where
he served for ten years, first as Canon Educator and then as acting
Dean of the Cathedral. In 1991, he became the rector of The Parish
of the Epiphany in Winchester, Massachusetts. Rob is now the Bishop
of the Episcopal Diocese of Colorado.
Paul Rank -
Vice President
Paul lives in Cincinnati, Ohio. He worked at AT&T Bell Labs for 32 years.
Since retiring, Paul has been active supporting the outreach ministries of St.
Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Cincinnati as well as being the Chairperson
of the National and World Mission Commission of the Diocese of Southern Ohio
and vice-president of the Episcopal Community Services Foundation (ECSF) in the
Diocese of Southern Ohio.
Jane White -Treasurer
Jane is a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Boston Trust & Investment
Jane is a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Boston Trust & Investment
Management Company. Prior to joining BTIM in 1995, Jane spent fifteen years at
Bank of New England, where she held positions in cash management, commercial
lending, and credit administration. She has taught finance at the Simmons Graduate
School of Management and has served as trustee and treasurer of several local,
not-for-profit organizations. Jane lives in eastern Massachusetts.
Jocelyn Rohde - Clerk
Jocelyn is a life long Episcopalian involved in teaching Sunday School, president
of the church women, lector and lay Eucharistic Minister, instrumental in initiating
the Stephen Ministry in her former parish of Good Samaritan in Gunnison, Colorado,
sponsoring the youth group and story-lady for preschoolers, librarian, and cancer
bandage chairman. In 1987 Jocelyn and her husband, John, became the directors
of “The Home of Love and Hope,” in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, where they
served for over nine years. Jocelyn and John currently live in Colorado.
The Rt. Rev. Lloyd Allen, Ex-officio Board member of El Hogar Ministries, Inc.
Lloyd is the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Honduras. Prior to serving as
Bishop, Rev. Allen was the rector of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Tegucigalpa,
Honduras.
Amanda Day - Board member
With the support of All Saints Church in Winter Park, Amanda Day spent a year
volunteering at El Hogar in Tegucigalpa. She joined the board in 2006, and offers
over 12 years of business marketing and communications experience. Amanda and
Jane and Perry Nies works together as regional coordinators for El Hogar Projects
in the Central Florida area.
Bunny Frey - Board member
Bunny has been the sponsor of an El Hogar boy since 1986. She joined the Advisory
Board in 1996, and became a regional coordinator for Massachusetts and New England.
She developed and guided a continuing program of support for El Hogar at her
mission church, St. Elizabeth's for 13 years. Bunny now lives in Florida and
currently serves as a central Florida coordinator.
The Rev. Roger Greene - Board member
Roger is the Rector of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Anderson Township,
Ohio.
The Rev. Steve Muncie - Board member
Steve is the Rector of Grace Episcopal Church in Brooklyn Heights, NY. Prior
to Grace Church, Rev. Muncie served as the Canon Missioner in the Episcopal Diocese
of Southern Ohio.
Phillip Petree - Board member and Development
Committee Chair
Phillip, a member of the board since March of 2005, has worked in the for-profit
as well as the non-profit world, including time as a teacher in Mexico and the
United States as well as a Development Director in a Boston-area independent
school. He has served as a development consultant to parishes and boards of other
Massachusetts-based organizations. He is currently working as a Search Consultant
with Isaacson, Miller and running his own business as a Vocational and Career
Transition Consultant.
Rosalind Reycraft - Board member
Rosalind, a transplanted Canadian, currently lives in Jackson,TN. She became
a board member in January 2006. Having lived in many locations, she has been
fortunate to serve on several non-profit organization boards. In Episcopal church-
related activities, she has served on the vestry, outreach and evangelism committees,
and currently is President of the ECW, St. Luke’s, Jackson, TN.
Robert Smith - Board member
Bob has been a member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Cincinnati since 1982. He
has always been active in outreach as well as serving as vestry person, junior
warden, senior warden, and currently chair of the finance committee. He retired
in 2002 after 35 years in Engineering for Procter & Gamble.
Steve Taylor - Board member
Steve is the Director of Emerging Business at Verizon's Federal Network Systems
group. He has over 30 years experience in high tech computing and communications
technology for both government and commercial customers. He is an active member
of St Andrew's Episcopal Church in Wellesley MA, and serves on their outreach
committee.
The Rev. Mark Wastler - Board member
Mark is the rector at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Annapolis, MD.
Prior to this Mark was the Associate Rector at Parish of the Epiphany in Winchester,
MA. Mark received his Divinity degree from EDS in Cambridge, MA.
