The Rt. Rev. Lloyd Allen

Lloyd Allen is the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Honduras. Prior to serving as Bishop, Rev. Allen was the rector of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
The Rt. Rev. Robert J. O’Neill
Rob has served as the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Colorado since 2002. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University and Berkeley Divinity School at Yale. He was ordained to the priesthood of the Episcopal Church in 1982 at Saint John’s Cathedral in Denver where he served for ten years, first as Canon Educator and then as acting Dean of the Cathedral. In 1991, he became the rector of The Parish of the Epiphany in Winchester, MA, where he served until 2002 when he became Bishop.
Becky joined the board in January 2015, having been a longtime supporter of El Hogar. She has a 30 year career in Christian formation ministry, serving first as a volunteer and, since 2001, as a paid professional Christian educator in the Episcopal Church. She recently retired from All Saints Parish, Brookline, MA, as their Director of Children’s, Youth & Family Ministries. Becky has led several youth mission teams to the farm school in Talanga, Honduras. She and her husband, Steve, a former El Hogar board member, live in Wellesley, MA.
The position of Vice President of the El Hogar board is currently vacant.
Kim joined the board in 2017 and is a long-time supporter of El Hogar. She has taken part of several service teams, and works tirelessly to advocate for El Hogar. She lives with her family outside of Princeton, New Jersey.
With a background in Special Education, Betsy served for over ten years as the Chair of Outreach at The Parish of the Epiphany in Winchester, MA. With mission as her passion, Betsy is involved in countless outreach activities, and serves on the Board of Directors at St. Stephen’s Youth Programs in Boston, MA.
The Rev. Alexander Martin
Alex joined the board of El Hogar in June of 2015 and has led a number of service teams to Honduras. He holds degrees from The Ohio State University in Columbus and The General Theological Seminary in New York City. Alex currently serves as the Associate Priest at St. Timothy’s Church in Cincinnati where he oversees liturgy, youth, and pastoral care. Additionally, he co-chairs the Diocese of Southern Ohio’s Commission on Congregational Life, which develops and implements a diocesan mission strategy by working with and supporting congregations across the diocese.
Christi joined the board in 2015 and is a longtime supporter of El Hogar. She is an award-winning educator with over 30 years of experience in teaching various grades and subjects, which have included Spanish. She also serves in various capacities with a number of community organizations, which includes her current designation as Outreach Commission Chair for Christ Episcopal Church in Denver, CO. She currently resides in Denver, CO.
Phillip is a former President of the board. He has worked in the for-profit and non-profit worlds, including time as a teacher in Mexico and the United States, as well as a Development Director in a Boston-area independent school. He has served as a development consultant to parishes and boards of other Massachusetts-based organizations. He is currently working as a Senior Associate with Isaacson, Miller and lives in the Boston area.
Kris joined the board in 2017 after having led several youth and adult trips to El Hogar beginning in 2007. She is a graduate of Miami University (OH) and has a degree in Accounting. She has worked in both public and private accounting, and is currently consulting as a Family Office manager/accountant. She is an active volunteer at her church, St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, as well as serving in various capacities for other community organizations. She and her husband, Steve, live in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Gill Gawthrop operates a general contracting business in the Baltimore-Washington Corridor operating in the high-end residential, commercial, and federal markets. He is passionate about service to others through Rotary International, Rebuilding Together, Habitat for Humanity, and leading Episcopal youth trips around the United States and beyond. Gill has served on several boards, and has worked with organizations through transition. He lives with his family in Ellicott City, MD.
Jeremy joined the board in 2017 after participating in an educational trip to El Hogar with colleagues from St. Stephen’s Youth Programs, where he serves as the Senior Manager for College Access & Success. He is a graduate of Colorado College with a degree in both Political Science and Urban Studies. Jeremy has spent the last six years working on educational issues in both Colorado and Massachusetts, having held positions in evaluation, research, program development, and direct service. Over the past four years he has been working to create strategic partnerships between community organizations and colleges, all with the goal of helping to better support students during their transition from high school to college and beyond. He lives outside of Boston, MA.
