The Rt. Rev. Lloyd Allen

Lloyd Allen is the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Honduras. Prior to serving as Bishop, Rev. Allen was the rector of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
The Rt. Rev. Robert J. O’Neill
Rob has served as the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Colorado since 2002. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University and Berkeley Divinity School at Yale. He was ordained to the priesthood of the Episcopal Church in 1982 at Saint John’s Cathedral in Denver where he served for ten years, first as Canon Educator and then as acting Dean of the Cathedral. In 1991, he became the rector of The Parish of the Epiphany in Winchester, MA, where he served until 2002 when he became Bishop.
Richard received his BASc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He worked at Proctor & Gamble for 35 years until he retired in 2007. During that time he managed multimillion-dollar budgets and scores of personnel as they wrestled with engineering problems for P&G. He and his wife (fellow Board member, Ros) have lived or worked in Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Colombia, and Venezuela. They currently reside outside of Toronto, Canada.
Eileen joined the Board as Treasurer in June 2012, having made her first service trip to El Hogar in 2011. Her professional background includes both corporate and nonprofit experience in publishing, management consulting, and commercial banking, most recently as general manager of the Newsletter/Conference Group at Harvard Business School Publishing. Eileen is currently focused on nonprofit endeavors; her latest project is co-founding a library in a large elementary school in a disadvantaged Boston neighborhood. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and Harvard Business School. Eileen lives with her husband and two sons in Winchester, MA, where she is an active member of The Parish of the Epiphany.
With a background in Special Education, Betsy served for over ten years as the Chair of Outreach at The Parish of the Epiphany in Winchester, MA. With mission as her passion, Betsy is involved in countless outreach activities, and serves on the Board of Directors at St. Stephen’s Youth Programs in Boston, MA.
Susan Franklin has been a member of the board since January 2012. She has been involved with and led service teams to El Hogar since 2003. Susan helped found El Hogar Projects (Canada), a Canadian registered charity dedicated to raising funds and awareness for the needs of the children of El Hogar Projects. She has a background in finance, has volunteered in and chaired many charitable endeavors in the Toronto community, and is a member of Kingsway-Lambton United Church, Toronto, Canada.
The Rev. Alexander Martin
Alex serves as the Associate Priest at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Cincinnati, OH.
Margo Mingay lives in Toronto, Canada. She and her husband David Winsor served as Co-Executive Directors of El Hogar from 1998 – 2000. David has been going to and supporting El Hogar since 1980 when the Project was in its second year. Margo has been involved since 1990. Margo is also the Service Team Coordinator as well as Sponsor Assignment Coordinator for El Hogar. Margo serves as Board Chair of El Hogar Projects Canada.
Bob is a retired executive at Proctor and Gamble. He currently resides in Cincinnati, OH, and attends Calvary Episcopal Church.
Becky joined the board in January 2015, having been a longtime supporter of El Hogar. She has a 30 year career in Christian formation ministry, serving first as a volunteer and, since 2001, as a paid professional Christian educator in the Episcopal Church. She now serves All Saints Parish, Brookline, MA, as their Director of Children’s, Youth & Family Ministries. Becky has led several youth mission teams to the farm school in Talanga, Honduras. She and her husband, Steve, a former El Hogar board member, live in Wellesley, MA.
Christi joined the board in 2015 and is a longtime supporter of El Hogar. She currently resides in Denver, CO.
Phillip is a former President of the board. He has worked in the for-profit and non-profit worlds, including time as a teacher in Mexico and the United States, as well as a Development Director in a Boston-area independent school. He has served as a development consultant to parishes and boards of other Massachusetts-based organizations. He is currently working as a Senior Associate with Isaacson, Miller and lives in the Boston area.
